Okay now that I have that out there.  This is going to take forever to type.  The picture above is my poor finger that I tried to peel with a potato peeler.  What was I peeling....sweet potatoes.  I wanted to make some homemake sweet potato chips.  I did succeed but at the price of my finger.

Friday!

Not too much to say just yay it's finally Friday! It's the 3rd day in a row this week I've completed my workout before I got Morgan off to school.  Now to figure out what to do with the rest of my day.  Gage and I are going to Morgan's Valentine's party at school this afternoon.
Well back to drinking my coffee and planning the rest of the day. We got a busy weekend ahead so I guess I'll enjoy the quiet right now. :)

Kale Chips

So.....I've seen a few people on Facebook talk about loving the Kale Chips they made.  Yesterday at HEB I bought some for the first time and decided I would attempt it too.
Here's a picture of the kale all washed up and dried off.  Then torn up into pieces minus the stems.

I then put them in a bag with a tablespoon of olive oil and shook them up and laid them out on a baking sheet.  I added a little sea salt on part and tried some Mrs Dash on another part.  Next I may try some garlic salt or another seasoning?

Then I baked it in the oven at 350 for 10-15 minutes until the edges got browned.

Surprisingly it was pretty good it might actually work for a minor craving of potato chips.  Notice in the picture, part of it was already eaten. :)
As for Gage he tried it but didn't much care for it.

What I should be doing...

I thought I would join all the cool kids and start my own blog.  So here I sit working on it when I know there are so many other things I should be doing.  Like checking my Facebook page.  lol

Brrr!  It's 28 degrees outside.  My feet are freezing despite the 3 pairs of socks and 2 blankets.  Ugh more cold weather and possible ice coming our way.  I guess well see if the kids have school in the morning.
